CD stuck in 6-cd changer in my 2002 Toyota Camry?

CD stuck in changer. #4 indicater light blinks constantly but will not eject. If I hold the eject button down, it will beep but nothing happens. I cannot load, play or use the cd player at all.
I took it to dealership and they suggested that I go to an audio place because they didn't really have an answer without dismantling the whole dashboard.

Here I am again with an update.

I found that the dealer is not very helpful. Their solution is to replace the unit for around 500. Never made it to Best Buy. I did some more searching online and came across the unscientific approach Andy C. had posted on a different site: While the CD changer is making its noises trying to recognize CDs, hit the dashboard medium to hard above the in-dash player.

Too good to be true? My wife was ready to try it. And it worked!!! We were so happy to hear that CD come back to life. The unscientific approach is pretty scientific since the CD was able to shift back into its proper position.

Thank you, Andy, for posting your success! This makes now two of us. If it doesn't work you can always replace the unit.

I have the same issue with my 2000 Camry showing error #3 and six CDs jammed. Radio and tape player are working though.

According to my research so far, this is not something that can be easily fixed. A car stereo place recommended to replace the whole unit which is pretty much the same price as sending it in for repair.

My next step is to go to a Best Buy repair shop and see what those guys will recommend.

Take it back to the dealer, it's definitely their issue.
