Toshiba 31BV501B no sound when watching media through usb?

I have a Toshiba 31BV501B when i watch a film through media from usb I have no sound, what is the problem? It was all working 2 days ago has 1 of my children messed with the hidden settings that an adult could never find even with the manual.
