Mend Wont Lock Place

toaster won't lock in place?

The toaster won't stay down, it doesn't lock into place to allow the bread to toast.

Kitchen Appliances, Toasters Wont Lock Place

In my case it was bread crumbs which covered solenoid (electro magnet), and prevented its holding the toaster down till the timer is over. I disassembled and cleaned it with a brush and vacuum cleaner.
