Mend Ford MK3 Motor Problem

1996 mk3 ford fiesta blower motor problem!!!!!?

my ford fiesta blower motor works for a bout ten seconds then squeaks and winds down to a complete halt, if you then switch it off for a few minutes and then back on it comes on for a further ten seconds but winds down (squeaking while doing this). please help as it is very cold in the winter.

not sure on the mk3. but on the mk4 its in the engine side lift the pollen filter casing out on the bulk head and hey presto there it is.a bit of jigling but not to difficult
