Mend Belling Kensington 90 DF Repair Replacement Power

Replaced grill element with a new one and it won't work?

I replaced a grill element on a belling Kensington 90 DF, and I can't get it to work.i tested the spade connections to the element ,but their was no power,wot could be the cause of this.
And how can I fix it
