how can i fix my bosch wae24162uk/08 classixx washing machine?

When I turn the control knob to "on" The machine sometimes comes on and works perfectly. Other times it does not come on and no lights come on. Sometime a bang will make it come on. If when it comes on the knob is left in the on position the machine wil work perfectly every time
