how to remove a raidiator to decorate behind and put back new system?

no need to drain system just shut both the valves at the ends of radiator and undo the nut nearest the rad on the valve and drain just that radiator. when drained undo both ends and lift rad off wall.if one end has a trv fitted you'll have to remove the thermostat and replace with the plastic cap that you get with the valves to hold the pin fully shut.
