sky remote stoped working ?

the sky remote will not operate the sky box but works the tv volume on/off etc,have tried the remote reset function (remove battery and hold select for 1 min )and then tried another remote but no good, is there a reset function on my pace sky decoder,or is there anything else i can try before getting a new decoded.
