AMI BIOS:
3 short beeps mean that you have bad RAM. Specificaly, the first 64K of it.

First thing to try is to check that your RAM module(s) are correctly connected.

Turn the computer OFF and disconnect it. (to be done for EACH steps)

Remove the memory modules one by one and replace them in exactly the same location.
Reconnect and power up.

If that don't work, remove one module and put it aside. Take the next one and place it in the first one's location.
If you have dual channel, you MUST work by bank: Remove both modules from the first bank and move the modules from the second bank to the first bank connectors.

You may need to replace the first RAM module or bank if you have dual chanel.

IBM BIOS:
1 long + 2 shorts:
Video isue.
Turn the computer OFF and disconnect it.
Try reseating the video card. May need a new video card.

3 longs:
Keyboard problem. Check that the keyboard is correctly plugged in. May need to replace it.

Award BIOS (most codes):
RAM problem. Same process as for the AMI BIOS.
