Mend Creda Excel 1200 Drive Belt Bottom

How to refit the drive belt on a creda excel 1200?

I have the top and back off my creda excel 1200 but need to know how to get the belt back on. It does not stretch so do I have to loosen the bottom pulley, a bit like the alternator on the car when putting a new fan belt on.
