Chances are the metal/plastic gear (easy to acess if you posess basic mechanical knowledge) is starting to strip out. From what I've heard, this type of mech. failure is common with this shredder. I have also heard parts are unavailable from factory. Someone said that they removed gear from machine, punched metal gear from center flange of plastic gear and re-inserted the metal gear so as to give you more cheap metal teeth to strip out next time you feed it more than 4 or 5 sheets of paper. I'm gonna try that myself since I have discovered the metal side of gear is stripped completely out on my shredder.
