Having a hard time iginting the pilot, ?

Having a hard time igniting the pilot, it seems like its not getting any gas when depressing the pilot button, Have to keep on pressing the ignitor a dozen tims before it will lite.

sounds like the piezo ignitor is at fault ,intermittent spark,it gets a lot of punishment as it sits in the flame all the time ,.the electrode wears down and the distance between electrode to ground is too great to achieve that spark.you could try giving the electrode a clean with a bit of fine sandpaper.try www.espares.co.uk for a replacement .

I usually half press the ignitor, so that the gas has time to come through, then prees fully. When not in use, the gas in that part of the system will escape, so it needs time to get through
