Orange button for battery & memory card came off?

I have a Fujifilm Fine Pix Z camera. The orange button that releases the battery and memory card popped off and there is a teeny spring that operates it which also popped off. Does the teeny spring under the orange button go vertical or horizontal? Thanks so very much
