it can be tricky due to ltd space ,if its a small leak you could add radweld to the system for a quick fix,.I have removed many cores in my lifetime and iam sorry to say most of the engines had to come out,.or dropped so you can get enough impact to reseat the new one ,it has to be driven in squarely too as you don't want to distort its shape ,.some core plugs leak from around the seating some can perish and hole ,I have seen plugs blown out due to blown head gaskets.core can be removed by punching through centre ind prising out ,cleaning seating area up adding a little exhaust paste, and driving new one ln.ok lets say you have removed the plug ,can you swing a hammer in there to fit the new one ?,can you get a small hydrolic ram in there to push the new one in ?.whatever you decide to do I wish you luck.
