Remove door front?

I Have a Zanussi ZDT 6053 Built in dishwasher I would like to remove the cupboard door that is attached to the actual dishwasher door.But how? I was told to remove the two screws along the edge of the door at the bottom by the installers.I have done this but nothing budges,and I'm a bit timid to use to much force.The only reason I want to remove the door front is fasten up cupboard door handle,but of course I cant get to it until I take the door off the dishwasher door first.Any idea's gratefully received
