Carburetor, link choke?

How to connect a linkage that came off the carburetor choke.It`s a piece about 5-6" and has hook shape at the end of it.I have a Briggs & Stratton engine model#281707
Where does the hook shape fit?I have to add that that long piece the straight end of it is hooked to the carburetor flap (round shaped plate). When i push the lever choke up the other end(that`s that long piece with the hook shape at one end) is not hooked up to anything.
