Packard Bell Easynote LJ61 boot issue?

My screen had line in it but if I move screen then it's ok but if I move it the screen is all colours now it won't even power up

It's intermittent. So you never know when it's gonna work. The logo only comes up when it's booting properly. Otherwise I just get a blank screen. It came on about an hour ago and I reformatted to factory settings, everything was ok and complete until it had to restart and it didn't come back on.

Does the machine show the start screen (Usually with pack bell logo) or remains black when you first power up.
If the screen is not showing this it might be the motherboard.
Try using the disk you got with the machine and run the repair facility (not the install as you will lose any data on the hard drive) if this does not work it is probably a hardware issue either the hard drive or it is the motherboard.
