how can i fix my wiper blade ?

my wiper blade keeps staying in the middle of the window when i turn my ignition on and when it is put on ittermittet setting, car is c200 classic mercedes cant drive til i fix it please help

Has the mechanism ever been lubricated. I used to do mine every couple of years.
