tumble dryer not working?

I have a whiteknight dryer have tryed the red button but it still hasnt worked when i trun it on it makes a slight buzzing noise have took the top of when i swith it on nothing but when i touch the drum when on it works is there any thing i could do dont want to keepin touchin the drum cause my hand may get caught .

There is a capacitor connected to the motor.This starts the motor rotating.If it fails the motor buzzes and will not start rotating until you give the drum a helping hand (push).Replace the capacitor and the dryer should work OK
