How can I get freeview without an outside ariel?

I have a freeview box and an indoor ariel I had a perfect picture for 4 days and over 70 channels, but I got up turned on telly and nothing no signal, I have tried moving ariel about I have tried re scanning the freeview all without sucess. I dont understand how i had it perfect for 4 days then nothing! I cant have an outdoor ariel as I live in a block and need planning please help! Its an alba DV3 freeview box.

I have similar problems with my Alba, yet my Panasonic digital tv (in another room, same aerial) gets all freeview channels and my daughters PC has a freeview tv card - no problems. We have one aerial and amplified distribution throughout the house so I know it's not the signal. I suspect the Alba is just crap, to be blunt.

I'm afraid that you probably had freak weather conditions. Normally Freeview need an outdoor aerial. Things MAY get better after the shutdown of the anologue service.

I suggest that you get together with the other residents and have a communal aerial installed for all of you. You may well need one in a few years when the anologue service is closed down so why not suggest it now?
