no temp gauge?

vauxhall corsa 17dt 2003,temp gauge not working at all,changed switch on thermostat housing and made no difference? cant see any other coolant switches unless hidden round rear of engine, also no switches on radiator.Coolant fan comes on as soon as ignition on so removed relay to get hot but still nothing? Any ideas anybody? Thankyou.
