not sure but on transits if you press brake and throttle,turn ignition on,wait 20-30 secs until spanner light flashes,ignition off,worth a go,good luck

Not familiar with Ford, but in my case, (Peugeot) If you hold the trip recorder button in before you turn the key, it returns to normal.
