E40 is a door lock fault.disconnect plug from mains. release the door gasket from the front cabinet.put you hand down the back and hold door lock and remove the 2 big pozi screws holding the door lock to the cabinet.disconnect wiring noting connection.is there a brown burn mark in the centre of the plastic door lock ?.if there is this could be your problem.the only issue is sometimes when the door locks fail they can blow the main pcb but without trying a replacement you will not know for sure unless you can see tracks etc burnt out on the main pcb!!!
