fuel lines weedeater featherlite?

I have weedeater featherlite ypwes.0183lt:em The replacement fuel line for the gas tank fits in the tank but wil not go over the nozzel. Is there a way to enlarge one end of the plastic line to fit the nozzel?

Hot water is a favorite, Cup of, put end of pipe in for a minute or so, it softens it, so it will slip on to the fitting
