lay the machine on its back ONLY
from the underneath you will see the motor.remove the brushes mounted to the side of the motor casing.if the carbon bit is 10mm or less they need replacing.to quick test you can stretch the old brushes and put them back on the motor and test.DO NOT USE LIKE THIS as it could cause motor damage.Brushes are available online or any domestic appliance repair centre should be able to get you some
