Mend We Flush Toilet

Fog horn noise when we flush the toilet?

Our downstairs toilet makes a noise like a fog horn when it is re-filling. Its doest happen on either of the upstairs toilets and the noise stops if you turn on the cold tap in the basin.

thanks 'K' looks as though that was the problem. stopped the noise. Definitely happier to know its a fairly simple job the replace the valve.

Your ball valve in cistern may be warn out try tuching ball of valve when noise happens and should stop when you touch it
