Mend Kenwood A901 Mixer Repair

my kenwood mixer A901 had smoke coming from it?

Is it possible to have my mixer repaired?
Smoke was coming from the motor and had a very nasty smell!!
Can someone give me some advice and is it still possible to get spares for this model?

I've been down this route recently and it sounds like you may have some blown capacitors on the speed control board - you can get a kit from ebay including capacitors, resistors and triac, for around £8, and I think Torreelectrics and Kenwoodchefrestores do repairs. Hope this helps
