Resetting a C & K Securitech home alarm system?

The C&K panels are very basic and equivilant to a grade1 system and not the sort fitted for insurance approval. Getting a panel like a scantronic 9651 would fit in nicely and can be fitted at a reasonable price. that was what I was getting at. Sorry didnt mean to rant but as a small business I'm up against a couple of local poor quality companies that flout the NSI rules and yet they can get away with it..

Well in my 30 years as a NSI "agent" I have seen some of what you say. Not a lot though.
and what are you going to give the end user to pass on to their insurers as proof of maintenance that will be accepted?

And thanks for the advice given to the OP. Which was exactly NONE.

Why not sod off to where you came from if not offering advice.

Tom Tv i totally agree with you, NSI means practically nothing, My company isnt SSAIB or NSI but ive spent my employed career working for NSI companies, here i am 27 years on and i cannot justify the costs of the NSI, I take over many alarms installed by NSI companies are they are terrible, badly installed etc etc, No fused spurs, bell box tampers linked out, faulty door contacts programmed out where resistors have coroded and the so called engineer obviously couldnt find the problem, So im afraid people of Britian dont be fooled into thinking NSI companies are great, they are certainly not, What they will do is rip you off, and rip you off they do.
There are a hand-full of us writing on this site who are probably the best engineers in the industry,

I wouldnt just use NSI companies. A lot of companies (like my own) cant justify the costs and the red tape of NSI approval - as most companies buy their membership and don't train their engineers properly. Ask friends or people at work for recommendation on the systems they have and the aftersales backup they provide. The smaller companies tend to look after you better as well.
