Mend Seitz S4 Repair Blind Window

Can I repair a tear in my seitz motorhome blind?

My grandaughter has torn the top of our motorhome window blind. it is Seitz make, the one that is blackout and flyscreen combined. The tear is at the very top near where the metal edge joins on. Can I remove the edging, trim the blind and then replace the edging?? Is it possible without taking the whole mechanism off the window? Any suggestions gratefully received.
