How can I fix a p3 connector on a DS lite?

So my friend gave me her DS lite to repair after she had tried to fix it herself, turns out she didn't realise the p3 connector (that holds the ribbon from the top screen) had a hinge so just pried it off with a flat-head.

I've bought a replacement connector off ebay and was just wondering what the best way to reattach it was, if I even can?
