How do I fix my quartet gbc 950s shredder?

The shredder has been sitting a while, when plugged in I get the led lit up but nothing happens, no sound or motor moving. I have pulled loose paper out of blades and vaccumed. I don't have schmatic and don't know where sensor is located. how do I make sure power is getting to motor and check sensor??
