Flavel Finesse 100 Grill broken?

Hi there,

I bought a second hand Flavel Finesse 100 dual range cooker when I moved into my new house 5 weeks ago. The cooker was hardly used and was sold when the couple's father passed away earlier in the year. Everything works fine, except for the grill. This worked once and has since stopped working, the element looks fine and I believe that it's the switch that may be broken (the switch will only work the grill when the grill door is open). The left hand oven works fine.

I tried to take the grill out yesterday but I removed the door, and the screws in the surrounding area, but the whole grill won't come out. Is there an easy way to remove it, or do I have to take the whole control panel / back of grill apart? I've looked in the manual but there's no guidance on how to remove grill element or switch?
