Mend Leyland Roadrunner Starting Problems Appears

Leyland Roadrunner starting Problems?

Hi I have a 1988 Leyland Roadrunner which just wont start as there appears to be air getting into the fuel system.If i crack of the injectors whilst turning it over it does fire and is fine for a couple of days . Does anyone know where is best to look as all it seems to have a one pipe all the way from the tank to the lift pump.
