Mend John Deere 155C Transmission

John Deere 155C transmission?

Typical problem with transmission . . heats up after 15 or 20 minutes and will not pull. What are my options? Can I check fluid level and fill if necessary?

I installed a 1500 cfm cooling fan on the back of my mower, now I can mow most of my yard, which take several hours , before I had to stop and let it cool in about 15 minutes. I drilled 1 inch holes in about a 7 inch circle and installed the fan to blow onto the trans. It has helped alot. I paid 32.00 for the fan from dmmotor in calif. toggle switch on the dash with an inline fuse to the battery. I have a LA 150

it has lost it's power to climb hills but will mow on flat ground no problem, but when it gets hot it slows down ? could it be the pulley or belt? or is the trans gone and need a new one put in ?
