Mend Trevi Power Loss Cold Water Temperature

loss of power?

Cold water comes from the Trevi shower when it is first turned on, but as it reaches the required temp there loss of power and no water at all. Has any one had this prob. Read in another review that fitting a new regulator did not solve the problem. The shower is 6 years old do I just replace it or try to get it fixed?
