How can I fix my watch?

Hi my watch hands have fallen off and when I went to put them back the minute and hour hand was fine, however, when I went to fix the seconds hand which has a small stem which I understand goes into the spindle but does not lock into position can you advice please Do I need a new spindle? How do i install this? Where can I get a replacement - Thank You in advance for your help and time with this query?
