my chain saw dose not start?

first check all obvious, petrol mix, does it pump through if the model has a primer, is the switch on and does it feel like it did before, sometimes switch can become loose inside and not click properly, check for a spark (i use a car strobe timing light interepted on the ht lead), take plug out is it wet or dry, maybe try a new one only about £3, is the air filter clean, and also i have many petrol items strimmer chainsaw etc, and sometimes forget the right procedure, eg full choke no throttle, or no choke half throttle, who used it last and have they messed with it.? best of luck, we all same, i still have problems sometimes
