my aprilla 50 wont start?

hi there mate is your scooter an 01/04 plate these scooters have a coil pack that doesent last long i would recomend a coil replacement and a new sealed battery , also a new spark plug, i would also dismantle the scooters body parts so you have easier access to the engine and whilest the plastics are off i would check for broken hoses loose wire ing etc , dont attempt to jump start with bigger vehicles or jump pack , you will most deffinately burn out the coil pack,, reguards graham from steeton

hello there from what i gather your bike sounds as if its been stood or even tampered with , these bikes dont like to be thrashed about i would recomend great northern in keighley or even someone local to you , i wouldnt take it to cob n jaggers or apple yards , i would try the coil pack too as stated by sam n john, these scooters are far better than the pug speedfight or the chinese imports that are selling rather cheap, id get it sorted mate, have you ever thought of joining an aprilla club theres loads about

i had the same problem its more than likely to be an electrical fault , has your battery gone dead or is it ca put , u mustnt jump start these scooters as they are likely to burn out your coil

it is most definately the coil pack , and you must use a scooter battery too , a car battery will most definately put too much current to the aprilla 50
