Pumped the primer bulb a few times. Noticed that the primer bulb does not come back out. The motor will start and run at idle. When throttle is applied the motor dies. Is the primer bulb bad or is this a result of bad fuel? The trimmer was new in 2008 and had only a few tanks of fuel run since then. Any help would be appreciated . Thank you
Your problem could be that the valve below the primer is not operating or fuel tank is not venting properly. Try slackening the fuel tank cap and priming again. If this help try fitting a new fuel tank cap. If the machine has not been run for a while the carburettor sometimes "gums" up with 2 stoke residue. The valve can easily be replaced if it is faulty. Make sure you take a note of the numbers on the carburettor before trying to fint parts. I hope this helps
