Mend MTD 1988 Yard Machine

cutting deck for 1988 MTD yard machine look for where the bottom coil sprin?

I put the cutting deck back on after replacing the clutch belt and there's a coil spring that hokes on the bottom I'm not sure I got it in it's right place . It's about 6'' long and there's a place just below the rear end but I'm not sure where the other end went. If you can show me in a diaogram. thanks
