honda xr 125 wiring fault ??

my friends honda xr 125 is slowly dying !! it would bump start but with key in ignition no lights would illuminate, the button start wouldnt work so it had to be bump started, now having had a good look at his wiring it was all corroded and burnt out. we have replaced these cables with ones from a similar wiring loom, but now the ignition problem still stands but now bike wont bump start ? any help please? ? ?
