The other answer is partly right, in that there is no such thing as a "digital aerial".
However is is not correct to say: "If your analoque signal was good on your ariel, your digital signal will be good."
Digital receivers are much fussier about the signal. It needs to be strong and of good quality.
First of all indoor or loft aerials often will not work with Digital Services without an amplifier. (Or indeed even with one.)
So assuming an outdoor aerial you need to get its alignment checked. If that fails you will need an amplifier, preferably of the mast-head type.
