how can i fix my electric window vauxhall vectra 2.2 2001?

My window will not close,goes part way up then returns down

The front windows on Vectras get dry and cause drag. The window sensor then probably "thinks" someone has got their hand trapped. Try using silicon grease where the window runs in its channels. That lubrication should help. Let us know how you get on.
