harrier 41 auto drive no traction?

My husband has Just purchased a new belt. £16 odd. That should solve the problem. Have you checked that the drive cable is still intact. Try pulling on the cable at the top where the bare wire is visible. If the wire comes out through the black cover it has snapped inside. I have had three new cables now! £11 each. That is why we are fitting a new belt. He thinks its snapping the cable because the belt is loose causing us to over tighten the drive cable. There is a manual available on line.
