Zanussi washing machine - electrical type smell?

Hi

When we last used our Zanussi ZWF16581 washing machine, we noticed (after the wash cycle had completed) there was a funny smell (electrical?)

Looking inside, I couldn't see any obvious signs of burning, loose connections, etc. Does anyone have any ideas what could be the possible culprit(s) please?
