gilera dna 50 keeps dying !?

will do rayb , away this weekend but will keep you posted .also googled problem and think it could be something to do with main jet ! ! you did mention that .A new exhaust was put on by previous owner but not sure if they upped the jet so will check that to . many thanks I,ll post again next week next week

hi chris. try checking reed valves for wear.they are under the inlet manifold.

thanks for advice rayb , my son has same model ( but working ! ! ) so iv,e switched carb , ht lead unit and regulator / rectifier . I have spark but to get it started especially from cold i have to cover the air intake (Carb) with my hand once warm it ticks over fine ! ! this problem is constant (regardless of all the swapping of proven parts) and driving me mad , as i said it dies under pressure ,i checked piston rings when i was doing crank seals and thier within the tolerance any more advice would be great

check main jet for blockage.
