How to fix soap diespenser on a hotpoint BF162 dishwasher?

I bought a new part for my dishwasher and promptly fitted it. I am not sure if I have got the wiring connections the right way round e.g. blue and purple connections. The new part is not working and not releasing the soap tray Any help on the connections would be good or other reasons for dispenser not working would be appreciated.
