The long socket is an older ATA socket.
The small ones are SATA sockets.
There are some adaptors that mount at the back of the drive, but those are usualy made to connect SATA to older ATA.
Some sound cards have an ATA connector. Those are often read only.
There are PCI to ATA adaptor.
Those are PCI cards used to connect older CDs, DVDs and hard drives in newer computers. Also used to connect more than 4 devices in older, pre-SATA, computers.
You also need a 40 or 80 whires ATA ribon. You may have some laying around, or you can get one from some computer shop.
Usualy, those seems to not work very well for engraving a DVD or CD. Best keept for DVD readers and hard drives.
