Mend Ford Mondeo 1.8 Overheating Cooling System Thermostat

ford mondeo 1.8 n reg?

car overheats after 10 miles & fan cuts in steam pressure in header tank engine cuts out once the car overheats & restarts once it has cooled down there is no bad engine noise .could this be the thermostat?

Could be your water pump, the impellor is plastic and becomes detached.
If you cant find anything else causing the problem this could be the answer but the pump has to be removed to check it!
