Mend Vauxhall Zafira Garage Wrong

Petrol smell in Vauxhall Zafira?

Hi I have a smell of petrol in my Vauxhall Zafira and have taken it to a garage but they cant find anything wrong with it. I smell it most of the time and am worried about it as it is petrol. Has anyone got any ideas about this and if you have had it can you help to solve this please.

Vauxhall Vauxhall Zafira Vehicles, Cars Vauxhall Garage Wrong

That happend to my wife's Zafira, the smell was caused by not tightening the fuel screw-on cap properly, she only turned it lightly, you need to turn in clockwise until you hear a few clicks. The pressure built up in the tank can escape via the loose cap.
